How RIS came into Existence

Radiant International School (CBSE) is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, following NCERT syllabus. Our Founder and Managing Trustee, Shri. A. Albert is a visionary and educationist par excellence. His long-chensted dream was to set up an International School, which would provide a world-class education at an affordable cost to the poor, down-trodden, marginalized and the ones aspiring for a world-class education in Thanjavur.

Thus Radiant International School (CBSE), a co-education school, took its shape and since inception in 2006, the school has been growing by leaps and bounds and making magnificent strides in academics and co-curricular activities.

Today Radiant International School (RIS) has been functioning with the collaboration of a galaxy of eminent educationists, aiming at making positive contributions for the development of a sound and impeccable system of education, aptly suited in the spectrum of 21st Century vision for 21st Century Learners.

Mission of RIS

RIS strongly believes that every child is endowed with astounding talents and potentialities and it is the onus of the school to help tap them and make the students realise them, be it academic or extracurricular activities. Thus the school prepares children for leading a meaningful and successful life, uncompromisingly interested in the welfare of their fellow men and their country. In addition to XPO-2021 this, it creates ample opportunities for children to unearth their potential and talents and nurtures them and develops them to the full-on. Our Secretary Mrs. A. Vimala Rose is the bestcon light to both the students and staff. She is a constant motivator and immense support to the school in all its facets. At Radiant International School, we are deeply committed to providing the highest quality education and mentoring our students to become versatile individuals who are well-prepared to face the challenges of life.

We, at   RIS believe that each child is a genius, waiting to be discovered. What he needs is love, appreciation, and gentle but firm support that would give him wings of confidence.

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.

To make our students dream true, we have set Radiant’s Maxim as

We strongly engraved this in each child’s mind that anything is possible with hard work and continuous efforts.

As a leader, my commitment is to guide and inspire my students with enthusiasm and passion. I still refer to myself as a 'cheerleader' because I keep encouraging others to have confidence and to use their talents to follow their dreams. It's been one of the most important reasons for my success and my helping others succeed.

School Management Committee (SMC)

The SMC is the backbone of the school for its consistent developments and academic excellence. The SMC consists of 11 eminent educationists. Periodic meeting of the SMC is convened to discuss and share their valuable ideas and opinions towards the all-around development of the child, with whose contributions in varied way's propel the school to dizzying heights on the ladder of success.

Digital Classrooms
In order to be on par with the other counterparts in the educational field, the school has ushered in the educational technologies to impart modem education, apt for the 21st Century Leamers. The school beleves that this will fabulously create a visual impact on the Marners. RIS has a the-up with Extramarks Education India Pvt. Ltd. for regular updates of the NCERT curriculum. Every lesson is taught using digi-teaching-aids through which students are able to understand and graso difficult concepts in an easy manner. This way thet the teaching-leaming process is pepped up and enlivemed to create enthusiasm for leaming among students.

The main building has the administrative block and secondary school and an auditorium with a huge capacity to accommodate a large strength with a unique and classy architectural design, keeping in view of the modern essential infrastructural requirements of the school. More importantly, it is a noise-free and pollution-free campus with well- ventilated class rooms, hygienic and dirt-free restrooms for both boys and girls with sufficient water facility. It is also equipped with sanitary napkins disposer Also. RIS has been installed with RO Plant thereby it provides RO purified drinking water for the students.

Van Facility
RIS has a fleet of school vans and plies school vans at a radius of 20 km to pick up and drop students at their doorsteps. Well-experienced van drivers are appointed to drive school van and a caring and loving Aunty on each van is put on duty to ensure the safety of children on the Van.

Intending to enchance the reading skills of the students, the school library houses nearly 13000 books ranging from novels, story books, reference books for various subjects and competitive exams, etc. Students can have access to a world of books or weekly, monthly magazines, newspapers, etc. to improve their knowledge.
