Nurturing Young Leaders at RIS

Inorder to know someone, one should meet them in person. If you run into a Radianti, you will be thrilled to hear how homely they feel at RIS. As the adage goes: 'leaders are made, not born', the school inculcates in every student leadership qualities at a very young age. In all school programs right from the assembly to the huge stage performance, the students take up leadership and organize themselves. They develop many key skills while they make positive and phenomenal contributions to their school community, the local community and the national or international community.

House Systems

The House System serves as a wonderful platform for the holistic development of the students. It forms the basis of all competitions in the school and promotes a sense of unity, team spirit, loyalty, resilience, perseverance, positive attitude, interpersonal skills, and life skills. Interestingly the school is divided into four houses namely, Nehru, Gandhi, Netaji, and Tagore. Students compete in the inter-house competitions of sports, literary activities, presentations, etc., exhibiting their inborn talents and acquired skills to bring glory and add feathers to the laurels to their houses.

Newspaper In Education

RIS shows a keen interest in improving students' language skills like listening, speaking, reading and writing. Hence, in order to make everyone to show interest in reading, RIS subscribes to the Indian Express and distributes them to all the students from Class i free of cost. Thus all the students are trained to read newspaper during the hours set aside as part of their curriculum.

Sports And Games at RIS

RIS not only accords importance to academics but also to sports and games. The school identifies the special talents or inclinations of the students. Then, besides the coaching and training as part of the curriculum, separate coaching for various sports and games is given to the aspiring students after the school hours. Through this, students get specialization in the sport or game they want to specialize in. So rigorous and professional training is given in cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Kho-Kho, Tennis & Kabaddi.

Extra curricular Activity Galore at RIS

As everyone is born unique and endowed with numerous talents, they require different avenues and platforms to showcase their innate talents. To ensure a holistic development of a child, the school strives to unearth the hidden talents and develops them to the core through the co-curricular activities like Dance, Music, Yoga, Karate, Band and Silambam.

Life Skills Training and Counselling Session at RIS
